Speaking also, Mr. Patrick Eghosasere called on the opposition party in the State (PDP) challenging the overwhelming Victory of the Governor to take a leaf from the Ondo state PDP Governorship Candidate Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, who lost out in the last governorship election in Ondo State and took the path of honor by accepting defeat which he described as the wishes of the people.

According to Mr. Eghosasere, “Barrister Jegede, while accepting the result and outcome of Ondo State governorship election, stated that the people of the state have chosen their preferred party and candidate through the ballot box and therefore have no regret as he has already resumed his practice as a lawyer”. “Mr. Jegede said that as a patriotic son of Ondo State, rather than overheat the politics of the State unnecessarily, that he is already looking forward to contesting the next governorship election in 2020 by the Grace of God”. “We do hope that the opposition party, the PDP in Edo State will learn a lesson from the Ondo State PDP Candidate rather than chasing the shadow”. He stated.
